Apple Store Sucks.

About a month ago, I went into an Apple Store located in utah simply looking for a new power cord for my macbook.. After searching the store with my friend we were unable to find what I needed or anything similar to what I needed. I decided to do what any normal person would do, Find Help. Most all the employees were helping other customers, so I decided to just wait for one to open up. I stood near a couple of Guys and waited. After they were done and completed the transaction I stood there and looked like I needed help. I looked them in eye as they walked by and had an expression on my face as if to say " i have questions". I was passed over almost as if I wasn't even there. I decided to try again, after not being helped by 10 + employees who seemed to be helping the hot ladies or older people who look like they have money and would buy expensive things I hopped on a computer in store and looked online to see if Power Cords were even able to be purchased, which they were. I walked around the store one more time and wasn't helped and did Not find the power cord. I was mad and left and found the same power cord online for 30 dollars cheaper on amazon. More recently, I went into the store looking for an ipod touch as a present to someone. The store wasn't busy at all, 3/4's the employees were helping customers and the others were shooting the breeze. I decided to play with the ipods and iphone and wait for someone to approach me, nobody came, so I tried to find someone, Again, Employees walked right by me and talking with friends. I walked out of the store deciding I would buy one through target or bestbuy, but I was already there and I needed it then and now, I walked back in and after a few minutes finally found one person By himself and told him I needed an ipod and he helped me out. When the apple store first opened and I went in, I could not walk from station to station without being asked if I had questions, or needed help. Apple is Ridiculous and doesn't seem to care about all around customer service in any way, they care more about Making money by helping the older looking customers and the good looking ladies so they can flirt there way into a sale. Everyone should boycott apple. Linux does everything apple does and more. Apple is growing so fast they think they can do anything now. They have everyone on there knees for them and for no reason. Please help me get the word out and around. Thank you.

SOOOOO Agree! Apple store is a totally worthless waste of space-the employees know nothing--one tells me over the phone that they happen to have that exact adapter i am seeking- i drive 60 miles (live in a rural area) only to discover that they don't have it..nor have they ever- only got a handful of apologies from some loser employee--wow, what geniuses! Told him i described and named in detail what i was looking for over the phone and was completely assured they had it..only to drive there to find not only did they not have it but no one knew what they were doing- pitiful excuse- and although im a designer- I think im pretty much finished with apple and their idiotic employees. To add salt to the wound, this is the second time that near exact scenario happened- also noted a complete lack of any supplies, accessories or anything for anything mac more than 6 months old- a sneaky ploy to get users to purchase new machines perhaps? Fuck em.

I work security in an Apple Store. I hate every waking minute of it. Half the customers are possessed of subhuman intelligence: no those giant iPad displays are not functioning oversized iPads... they're sideways TVs set up in a novelty display... STOP F**KING TOUCHING THEM!!!

The management are arrogant tits who don't let us do our jobs at all. We are like toy soldiers. We are paid to twiddle our thumbs.

The employees often are too busy chatting in small groups to notice customers in need of help. Very unprofessional.

Apple doesn't seem to care much about loss prevention, which leads to me to believe that they may be running some kind of insurance scam, a slush fund of sorts, through their stores.

i recently visited the apple store inside lakeside mall metairie Louisiana. the reason for my visit was because i tried to update my phone on my own to 5.0 and iTunes said there is a problem with your phone and need to bring it to a apple store. i went to this apple store and finally saw a tech and he plugged in my phone saw the same error message and took my phone to the back for a second and then returned and said my phone had water damage and couldn't be fixed and that i would have to purchase a new one for $150 dollars. i discussed with him if their were any possibilities to fix it or any other options other than buying a new one. since i am a little tight on money from buying a macbook pro the day before this incident. the tech insured me there was nothing he could do to fix the phone and buying a new one was the only option. well i decided to leave until i could save up some more money to buy the phone phone. well when i got home i plugged my phone into my mac book and tried to restore my phone. and the phone went through the process while i was thinking the whole time this is pointless it defenantly not going to work. but to my amazement my phone booted up and worked perfectly. the phone even saved all my last calls and web pages i had been on earlier that day. this process took me at most 15 minutes to do. while my experience took me about 45 minutes just for the tech to basically tell me I'm screwed and have to pony up the cash for a new iPhone. i feel this type of service is unacceptable. i didn't think the apple store was just to screw people over and take money. i mean the most one of those techs have ever done for me is try to plug my phone in and click a button. they should change their genius bar to the accounts receivable bar. because that what i feel their real job is. to take money and give their customers shit in return.
